This is a tutor working hard during the summer!

William Joseph Balfe M.Ed. B.Ed. OCT OISE Hons.BA Specialist English St. Mikes UofT

A few things about me: I’ve been a contract faculty professor at George Brown College in downtown Toronto since 2016. Before that, I taught Elementary and high school students in Vancouver and Nunavik. Before that, I was a documentary television visual and story producer. Before that….(ok. I’ll stop). My specialty is literacy. I love multimodal literacies. Drama, video/film, singing/music, dance, visual art, reading, writing. Combining these modalities is where creativity starts. As a college Professor, I teach all ages how to think and read and critically write about what they think and read. Communication and expression of one’s ideas coherently are what I assist my students in learning. If you have assignments in the Humanities, or English or any other area except math and science and a bunch of others…I can probably help you out. In fact, I know I can help you! So, if you’re cringing at the thought of that ENG 1007 coming up next semester or just need help with various stages in the writing of an essay you’re doing for your nursing class, you’re in the right place. Call A Tutor! That’s me. I look forward to helping you!
